Thanet Community Champion Awards, winner - our very own Linda Hardy; coach & club secretary.

I’m very pleased and proud to announce that Linda’s outstanding work to the community has been recognised.

She has been a stalwart of the club for a number of years and countless young inspiring athletes have been through her group. Her dedication to her athletes, her coaching and her peers is remarkable.

Linda said “I was somewhat overwhelmed to receive this award as none of us volunteer for fame or fortune. Receiving this award has been a lovely experience and it’s nice to be recognised. I accept the award on behalf of all of us who dedicate our time and effort to give the joy of Athletics to our community “

Not only is this accolade well deserved, but Linda is a role model for others who may not be from a sporting background. It demonstrates that with a supportive team around you and a genuine desire to help others, you can change people's lives.
